On December 17, 2009 I was notified that I have been accepted to the Ross University Medical School MERP program. I am a 30 year old mom that has been working towards this goal for a very long time. My husband and 4 year old daughter will be moving to the Grand Bahamas and then the island of Dominica with me. This blog is about my family's venture as we prepare to embark on this wonderful adventure of a lifetime.

Timeline
So I have had a few requests about our adventure timeline so here it goes. My semester in Grand Bahama begins April 12th and goes through July 27. After a month break, which we plan on spending in the Bahamas, we will be moving to Dominica where we will spend 16 months completing the rest of my medical school basic science curriculum. After that the clinical rotation portion of medical school begins. I can complete 10 weeks in the hospital in Dominica and then come back to the US for the last 1.5 years. That brings us to graduation. Can't really focus too much past that. don't count your chickens before they hatch, or something like that.
