After a nearly 30 hour trip home she finally arrived at 11:35pm on Monday night. I didn't sleep the night before or the night that she came home. The three of us just snuggled all night. No one slept but it was bliss. This week, the two of us just get to hang out and have some fun. Cooking, swimming, playing, reading, shopping. On Monday she starts third grade and I start Cardiology at UM. It's the little things you learn to appreciate and not take for granted when you have to compartmentalize your time. I love this kid...She is my inspiration. She pushes me to be my best self always. I hope I can teach her the same lessons that she has taught me.
